Some problems just stop developing harmonic motion.
1. A stone varies in circles at constant speed at the end of a rope, describing 50 revolutions in 30 seconds. What are the frequency and period of this movement?
2. A child is sitting on the edge of a platform rotating at 30 revolutions per minute. The platform has 10 m in diameter. What is the period of the motion and what is the speed of the child?
3. When a 200 g mass hangs from a spring. the height of this falls a distance of 1.5 cm. What is the spring constant k?
4. A mass of 400 kg is added to the initial mass of 200 g of the above problem. What will be the increase in the downward shift?
5. A mass oscillates at the frequency of 3 Hz (Hertz) and a width of 6 cm. What are their positions at times t = 0 and t = 3.22?
6. A 50 g mass oscillates with a MAS whose frequency is 0.25 Hz Suppose that t = 0 when the mass is at its maximum displacement. At what point will shift zero?
